As a part of the Arts at Emory, aliens will touch down in Atlanta. The campus hosts a screening of DISTRICT 9. The film, which was nominated for several Oscars, including Best Picture, centers on a South African bureaucrat chosen to spearhead a movement to evict millions of illegal aliens (the term is used literally here) from a Johannesburg slum. The sci-fi epic was directed by first-time filmmaker Neill Blomkamp and produced by Peter Jackson of The Lord of the Rings trilogy fame.
