Joe Pickett and Nick Prueher take recycling to a whole new level with their FOUND FOOTAGE FESTIVAL, coming to the Plaza Theatre Sun., OCT. 12. What began nearly two decades ago in a McDonald’s bathroom with an “Inside and Outside Custodial Duties” video has spiraled into the latest incarnation of their found-object project. The pair picked its way through throngs of rubbish at garage sales, warehouses and Dumpsters across the country to find cinematic curiosities and cobble them together for a 100-minute collage of old infomercials, castaway home movies and industrial training videos. For this year’s tour, expect appearances by ’80s-era talent show “Stairway to Stardom,” Marky Mark exercise videos and terrifying cosmetic instructional videos.
