Film: Ichi the Killer

Tues., Jan. 12

Once again, Plaza Theatre plays host to the most unique, gore-alicious cinema around. ICHI THE KILLER, presented by Splatter Cinema, features the ultra-violent film based on Hideo Yamamoto's equally violent manga series of the same name. The 2001 film promises seduction, corruption and dark comedy, along with psychotic acting by Tadanobu Asano, Shinya Tsukamoto and Nao Omori. The pervasive ending is good fodder for the inevitable post-screening conversation, and should you desire more from Ichi, 2003's prequel 1-Ichi is a good start. $7.50-$9. 9:30 p.m. 1049 Ponce de Leon Ave. 404-873-1939.
