Film: Iranian Film Fest

Fri., Nov. 6

In an effort to enhance cultural understanding through film, the High Museum of Art continues its film series with the nation of Iran. The country has gained infamy with its unfortunate locale and election scandals, but as is always the case, there is another side to the Middle Eastern country. IRANIAN FILM YESTERDAY AND TODAY features six films by Iranian filmmakers, including Mehrshad Karkhani's award-winning Loose Rope and Mahdi Moniri's Tinar. Through Nov. 21. $6-$7. Fri.-Sat., 8 p.m. High Museum of Art, Richard H. Rich Theatre, 1280 Peachtree St. 404-733-5000. www.high.org.
