Film: Moon

Mon., Jan. 25

If your idea of a good sci-fi movie is 2001: A Space Odyssey rather than a ubiquitous action-heavy blockbuster, then check out MOON at Georgia State University's Cinefest Film Theatre. A winner of the British Independent Film Award, Moon showcases a lonely astronaut, Sam Bell (Sam Rockwell), ending a three-year contract to harvest a precious gas from the moon. In the last two weeks before going home to his family, however, Sam begins to hallucinate and discovers another person on the moon who looks eerily similar to himself. Through Jan. 31. Free-$5. See website for times. 66 Courtland St., Suite 240. 404-413-1798. www2.gsu.edu/~wwwcft.
