The 20th annual OUT ON FILM festival features more than 50 screenings of documentaries, shorts and feature films for the gay/lesbian/bi/transgendered communities. The festival opens Thurs., OCT. 11, with a screening of The Bubble, described as a gay, cross-cultural Romeo and Juliet tale set among the Israelis and Palestinians. Drag “supermodel” RuPaul appears at the closing-night screening of the legendary low-budget indie comedy Starrbooty (pictured). Through Oct. 18.
