Suicide, poverty and AIDS are merely a drop in the bucket of troubles for RENT's struggling Gen Xers. The Broadway musical, set in New York's eclectic East Village and loosely based on Puccini's La Bohème, made a thunderous impact in the mid-'90s with an ethnically diverse cast and its raw depictions of homosexual issues. Now in its 11th year, and with a successful feature film under its belt, the rock opera plays for one night only Mon., FEB. 5, at the RiverCenter for the Performing Arts. $30-$45. 7:30 p.m. 935 First Ave., Columbus. 888-332-5500. www.rivercenter.org.
