The short documentary “From Silence to Recognition: Confronting Discrimination in Emory’s Dental School History” tells the story of how the anti-Semitism of John E. Buhler, dean of the dental school at Emory university from 1948 to 1961 led to the flunking out of a high percentage of Jewish dental students. Through contemporary interviews, this film demonstrates the impact of these actions on the lives of the students who suffered this grave injustice.
Light refreshments will be served.
