Gonzo Imperial Porter

Baltic Porter
Flying Dog Brewery
Denver, CO (brewed in Frederick, MD)
9.2% ABV

Featuring an appropriately twisted label illustration by Ralph Steadman, this over-the-top porter is brewed in honor the late Hunter S. Thompson, inventor of Gonzo Journalism and a long-time Colorado resident. A dollar from each case sold will go toward a fund for establishing a permanent memorial to the often drug-addled writer and provocateur. Three varieties of specialty malts contribute rich chocolate, coffee, and molasses flavors. A generous dry-hopping with Cascade hops adds a solid piney aroma and a bit of citrus bitterness in the lip-smacking finish. Silky-smooth, with a medium-full body and a warming alcohol kick. As Raoul Duke himself says on the bottle, “OK, let’s party.”
