If the Partridge family had been less groovy and more graphic, they might have dug the '70s headshop-meets-swinging Carnaby Street vibe of artist COLE GERST'S screenprints (right) and paintings. Gerst, an Albany, Ga., native and Atlanta College of Art grad, now resides in Los Angeles where he cranks out fresh designs for T-shirts, CD covers, posters and his own fine art under the name Option-G. His color-soaked designs melding psychedelia with folk-art primitivism have appeared in L.A. Weekly and Domino, on posters for the Shins and Guided by Voices, and even on coasters. Gerst appears alongside fellow printmakers Joe Tsambaris and Jonathan Fisher starting SEPT. 9. Through Sept. 24. Wed. and Fri., noon-6 p.m.; Thurs., noon-7 p.m.; Sat. and Sun., noon-5 p.m. Young Blood Gallery, 629 Glenwood Ave. 404-627-0393. www.youngbloodgallery.com.
