A police officer saw two men sitting in a vehicle in a gas station parking lot. The men were watching a woman as she put her makeup on. Then the men slowly drove up to the woman and began to talk to her.
The officer approached the men and searched them. The men had $376 between them, mostly in $1 bills. The officer also found several bottles of Valium and other muscle relaxers in their vehicle, as well as a bottle of rum in the trunk. Both 20-year-old men were charged with possession of narcotics with intent to distribute and possession of alcohol.
A 34-year-old Auburn woman and her family returned from a camping trip and discovered some of their out-door Halloween decorations had been damaged.
Two neighbors said they were outside and saw four neighborhood kids in the woman's yard kicking her decorations. The neighbors yelled at the kids and told them to leave. They also told the kids to come back when the owner was home and tell her what they did.
The Styrofoam tombstone, valued at $10, was destroyed.
A man wearing a chef's jacket walked into a convenience store on Holcomb Bridge Road and asked for a pack of cigarettes. The clerk asked for identification, but the man said he forgot his driver's license.
When the clerk refused to sell him the cigarettes, the man became angry. He began to swear at the clerk and argued that he was over age 30 and he came into the store all the time.
Then the man went to his car and got a gun. He pointed it at the clerk's head and threatened to kill him before returning to his car and driving off.
A couple was arguing over money in their apartment on Roswell Road when the 30-year-old woman picked up the man's clothes and tried to throw them outside. The woman hit her 31-year-old boyfriend several times before the man punched her in the face.
She went to the kitchen and returned with a large butcher knife. A witness got between the squabbling couple and managed to take the knife away, but the woman went to the kitchen and got another knife. She began to poke the man in the chest with the knife, telling him to get out. Then she cut him on the chin.
The man grabbed the knife from her and the police arrived. The man and woman were taken to Northside Hospital for their injuries.
A 32-year-old Snellville woman called police to report a domestic violence incident. She told police she had put her husband's clothes next to the dog cage. He became angry and pushed and shoved her against the clothes dryer.
Then he told her he was going to put her head through the wall, and that the only reason he did not was because he did not want to go to jail. The suspect told police he had pushed his wife against the dryer.
He was placed under arrest for simple battery and transported to jail.
