Opening event Thurs April 24 at 7 pm. An assortment of Hank Aaron materials from Emory’s Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library (MARBL) will be featured in an exhibit. Materials include Aaron’s scouting reports, telegrams between the Braves and Aaron’s Negro League team, and a sample of hate mail Aaron received as he closed in on Babe Ruth’s home run record, which he broke with his 715th home run in 1974. Curated by Emory University juniors Kyle Arbuckle, Warren Kember and Brett Lake, members of Emory’s baseball team.
