Herman Cain Visits Atlanta
November 12, 2011
November 12, 2011 - Atlanta, Georgia: Republican presidential frontrunner Herman Cain visited Atlanta this morning to address the fall meeting of the Young Republican National Federation at the Westin Peachtree Plaza.
Cain spoke for roughly 20 minutes to a crowd of about 200 people. The former talk radio host and pizza company CEO did not not mention four women's allegations that he sexually harassed them during his tenure at the National Restaurant Association more than ten years ago. (Cain has denied all accusations.)
Cain's folksy speech instead touched on several issues including his 9-9-9 tax plan and his foreign policy as president ("peace through strength and clarity"). He said, if elected, on the first day as president he would "take a nap" before canceling the majority of the inaugural balls. Cain took no questions from the media.
