Holiday: L5P Halloween Fest

Fri.-Sat., Oct. 16-17

Kooky Little Five Points prepares to reach the peak of its eccentricity with the neighborhood's annual L5P HALLOWEEN FESTIVAL AND PARADE. Costumed inebriates roam the streets as local musical acts perform and creatures of the night instigate mischief around every corner. Professor Morte's Silver Scream Spook Show puts on an appropriately punk rock performance Friday night, followed by an open-air screening of a classic horror film at 8 p.m. On Saturday afternoon, Davis Plaza hosts kid-friendly activities for little monsters and goblins until 5 p.m., while eclectic entertainment acts haunt Findley Plaza well into the night. The parade of ghastly floats, easily the city's most celebrated march, begins Saturday at 4 p.m. and is not to be missed. Free. Fri., 6-10 p.m.; Sat., noon-10 p.m.; Moreland and Euclid avenues. 404-577-4212.
