Holiday: Netherworld

Mon., Sept. 28

Long heralded as one of the nation's top haunts, NETHERWORLD HAUNTED HOUSE kicks off unlucky year No. 13. In a time when vampire lore reigns supreme over pop culture – often times muddled with romance and "vegetarian" vampires – Netherworld shifts the focus back to the unquenchable bloodlust and violence of the original Nosferatu with Blood Night, a haunt three years in the making. If you manage to make it out of the catacombs with your soul, the theme of the undead marches strong with Netherworld's next trick, Zombie Rampage. Infected flesh-eating zombies and chain-saw maniacs lurk in the darkness, ready to attack. Netherworld will stay open for an extra two weekends so visitors can visit on the extra creepy Friday the 13th in November. Through Nov. 14. $20-$25. Sun.-Thurs., 7-11 p.m.; Fri.-Sat., 7 p.m.-midnight. Georgia Antique & Design Center, 6624 Dawson Blvd., Norcross. 404-608-2484. www.fearworld.com.
