How You Like Me Now: The Nostalgic Commodification of Black Art in America

Community lecture hosted by the Smoke School of Art and the Auburn Avenue Research Library, and facilitated by conceptual artist and educator Christopher Hitchinson. He will examine how the lingering effects of colonialism and contemporary racism marginalizes non-white creative expression, via the nostalgic commodification of art created by communities of color.
