The best version of a group exhibition at a gallery can feel no different than a salon: a casual collection of artworks that are as different as they are similar. Artist William Downs is no stranger to this subtle form; he's been curating what he calls "erotic shows" and "birthday exhibitions" since the mid-'90s. His latest, In Unison, brings together a wide range of artists, including New York's Derrick Adams, California's Eve Fowler, and Kentucky musician Will Oldham. An opening reception takes place Sat., Jan. 5, from 7-10 p.m. A curator-led discussion/tour/talk with William Downs takes place Sat., Feb. 16, at noon.
