Moscow-born gallery boss man and graphic designer Ivan Annikov set up shop in Decatur in the spring of 2006. His sleek, friendly storefront gallery reflects Annikov's taste, which runs toward "pop surrealism," graffiti, tattoo and comic-inspired art, and the emerging artists from L.A. to Brooklyn and in our own back yard who make it. With the upcoming relocation of the also lowbrow-friendly Alcove Gallery from Buckhead to Decatur, Annikov's already-funky suburb has taken one step closer to supercool.
