Joan Baez and The Indigo Girls

When: Sat., June 15, 7 p.m. 2013
Price: $34.50-$64.50
This is such an inspired combination of like-minded artists that it's surprising no one thought of it earlier. Baez wasn't the first politically outspoken woman folksinger, but she remains one of the most influential, especially because of her high-profile anti-Vietnam War stance. The Indigo Girls surely took pointers from her for their more commercial mix of activist, earth-friendly politics and emotionally charged folk-pop. An on-stage collaboration of elder stateswoman and younger acolytes seems inevitable.
