Joe Pernice & Wesley Stace (aka John Wesley Harding)

When: Tue., Jan. 7, 8 p.m. 2014
Price: $20-$26
A quarter-century following the release of It happened One Night, the English singer/songwriter and novelist formerly known as John Wesley Harding is touring the U.S. in support of Self-Titled (Yep Roc Records), the first album to bear his real name, Wesley Stace. Atlantans will be familiar with Stace for his work with Pete Buck and the Decemberists, as well as for a wonderful cover of Conway Twitty’s “It’s Only Make Believe” with Kelly Hogan from the 2002 compilation Making Singles, Drinking Doubles (Bloodshot). Stace co-headlines the show with Joe Pernice.
