Kaki King, Lady Lamb The Beekeeper

When: Fri., Nov. 23, 9 p.m. 2012
Price: $13-$15
Kaki King often employs a percussive two-handed fingerstyle guitar technique that was pioneered by the self-taught New York folk guitarist Preston Reed. Although her initial work vacillated between gossamer folk beauty and percussive rock-tinged experimentation, her subsequent albums have incorporated electric guitar, electronics, vocals, and a full band with 2010's Junior (Cooking Vinyl/Rounder). With her latest album, Glow (Velour Recordings), she revisits her early solo instrumental mien with richer, more nuanced arrangements.
