Girl No. 1 was OK with that and put up her portion of the cost (which we agreed on). Girl No. 2 was not with that program and thought we should use our options. Since it was two-to-one, she got mad and refused to pay her portion (but still slept in the room). After our show that night, Girl No. 1 and I left her ass in Memphis. (She made it home.) Did I overreact or do I need karma cleansing?
-- Walking in Memphis
Though we'd like to believe that Cheap Girl got what she deserved, we'd also offer that Memphis is no short hike from Atlanta. Consider your showmate's hotel debt paid, but offer her an apology regardless.
My female roommate (I'm male) is a good friend from way back. She's a computer consultant by day, but she's also become a part-time stripper some nights. (It's been a rough few months for the tech field.)
She asked me not to tell my guy friends about her night job. She was afraid some of the jerks in the group would show up at the club and harass her. I agreed, but then I got drunk with some old fraternity buddies and spilled the beans. The next morning, I had a horrible hangover and felt terrible about what I'd done. I called up my buddies and made them swear they wouldn't tell her that they knew her secret.
Only a few days have passed but already the guys snicker behind my roommate's back and keep saying they're going to go see her at "work." Am I screwed or what?
-- The naked truth
Ah, the perils of topless dancing: The money's great, but so is the shame factor. Your roommate was stupid for expecting gossip of this caliber to remain under wraps. You, however, had best confess your indiscretion to her before the boys show up with singles in hand.

Because they are super-duper horny, of course.
