Tucked away in John's Creek, Kozmo is worth going the distance. Reminiscent of the Globe (a former Globe partner owns it and hired a former Globe chef, Travis Collum), Kozmo features fresh, simple food that matches the decor and tone and pared-back style -- upscale, trendy home cooking. The deviled eggs are outstanding, comfort foods include sophisticated touches, and the fried portobello strips are perfect: golden with a whisper of truffle. The drink selection is lacking, but the cocktails are decent. For "sexy in the suburbs," as the restaurant bills itself, it's a gem.
