Kukumbuka Kifo (To Remember The Dead) & Ikiru (To Live)

When: Wednesdays-Sundays, 10 a.m. Continues through March 31 2013
Price: Free
U*Space Gallery presents two new exhibitions that explore the common thread that links each and every one of us: Life and Death. In Gallery I – Jamele Wright's Kukumbuka Kifo (To Remember the Dead) explores strained relationships between Africans and African-Americans due to colonization and particularly, the slave trade. In Gallery II – Japanese artist Terumi's Ikiru (To Live) presents paintings and pottery that beautifully illuminates the rich subliminal stimuli found in the personal mining of humility during the course of an individual human's life.
