Kwassi C.

A quick look at Atlanta's fashion sense

The sunny spring weather has us headed to the mall on a semi-weekly basis in hopes that some sundresses will cure our hay fever. Among the sea of men in baggy jeans, lazy tees and grimy sneakers, Kwassi's well-fitted suits and classy ties have caught our eye more than once.

Though his tailored clothes may seem conservative, the sharp-dresser has a knack for throwing in unexpected colors and prints that offer a creative edge to an already sophisticated look.

He shares our concern that most men don't wear great suits nowadays. Inspired by The Great Gatsby and films from the 1930s, Kwassi loves tailored suits, noting that the silhouette flatters gentlemen.

Kwassi also cares about the details: Standing at 6-foot-1, he prefers 2-inch cuffs on pants. However, on summer-weight linen pants, he'll let the cuff rise to 3 inches.

He offered that, in the South, men can wear a lot more color than in other parts of the country and lamented that they don't take advantage of that ability more often. His own favorite is purple, as it stands for prosperity and loyalty.
