Lust List 2014: Marilyn

Job: Creative Director, Liquid Sky

Age: 30

Relationship Status: Single

Marilyn can dance in the air. Her body draped in silks, she hangs from the ceiling as she contorts and twists her way through performances. A SCAD alumnus and Atlanta native, Marilyn considers herself a huge geek. "I'm probably the biggest Trekkie and X-Men fan you'll ever meet, but you wouldn't necessarily be able to tell," she says. When she's not contemplating mutant revolutions and transporter technology, the beauty is working as the creative director for Liquid Sky, an aerial performance company. Though she's still the artsy girl who loved White Zombie at 14, Marilyn now prefers some hip-hop or jazz, at least when it's time to get busy. — Gavin Godfrey

What's your standard drink?

Jäger or whiskey neat.

What band were you obsessed with at 14?

White Zombie.

What is your guiltiest pleasure?

Goth dancing in goth clubs.

What is your least favorite household chore?

Taking out the trash.

What was the last thing you made me cry?

The movie Blackfish or The Cove.

What was the last good book you read?

Damned by Chuck Palahniuk.

What do you wish someone would hurry up and invent?

A transporter from Star Trek.

What's the lamest pickup line someone has ever tried on you?

It's more of like a thing where they get really close and start breathing on you. That's kind of weird and awkward.

What movie would you most like to live in?

Blade Runner.

What's the first album you bought with your own money?

Michael Jackson's Thriller.

What's the best way for a customer/audience member to hit on you?

Just talk to me.

Who would play you in the movie about your life?

I have no idea. I'm not into celebrities ... maybe just me.

What's the one thing you hope to accomplish this year?

I really want to travel some more this year, so I really want to hit the Caribbean and Europe.

What's your least favorite thing about Atlanta?

Nothing's open past 2:30-3 a.m. That's really lame. It's the lamest thing ever.

Is there a drawback to being attractive?

Name one thing you've stolen.

One time I stole money from this girl's purse when I was 5, but we were really poor and didn't have food so you kind of do what you've got to do.

Who is the most important person in your life?

My cats or my sister. My sister's amazing. Person — my sister. Animal — cats.

What's your sexy-time soundtrack?

I like hip-hop music or jazz.

Have you ever been dumped, and if so what was the reason?

Yeah, I've been dumped a couple of times, but probably because they were crazy. So it ended up working out.

What is your pettiest relationship deal-breaker?

Snoring. I will kill somebody. You'll wake up with a pillow on your face. [Laughs]

What would you order for your last meal?

Bacon. Just bacon.

How much would you charge to murder a stranger?

I have dreams about this. I always get really upset because I don't know where to put the body. I get a lot of anxiety, and I call people. I don't know if I'd take money. It'd have to be like that person killed my [friend/family]. A revenge kill.

How do you handle rejection?

I'm fine with it. People, they need things. I need things and if those aren't aligning that's fine. There are other outlets.

With whom would you like to play Truth or Dare?

George Takei.

What did your parents want you to do with your life?

Be happy.

Have you ever stalked someone on Instagram?

All the time. It's fun!

How often do you talk to your mother?

Three to four times a week. She's really cool.

What's your preferred footwear?

Boots. Or Sketchers. Sketchers are the shit, man! Since '99!

What's the most romantic spot in Atlanta?

Clermont Lounge. If you can't hang out there, we can't hang out.

What's your wackiest piece of personal trivia?

I'm probably the biggest Trekkie and X-Men fan you'll ever meet, but you wouldn't necessarily be able to tell.

What's your weirdest recurring dream?

The serial killer where I kill people and don't where to hide the bodies. I probably have that dream a couple times a month. I was probably watching "Dexter" too much.

What's the personal attribute you're sucker for?

Passion toward the arts.

Where would you go on a bucket list vacation?

I'm a traveler so Europe, the Caribbean, China, Budapest — doesn't matter.

Not counting rent or bills, where does most of your disposable income go?

Traveling or costumes for performing. [I buy] a lot of costumes.

What is your life's ambition/grandest dream?

I really want to be able to be financially compensated for art, which I think is everyone's dream who is an artist. And to be able to afford to see the world, and be comfortable, not rich, but comfortable.

If you had a million dollars and one afternoon to spend, what would you do?

Scoop my sister and my friends and go on vacation. Maybe not the cats. I would probably just go to the beach.

Have you ever stolen a friend's boyfriend?

Nah, there's rules. I'm totally against that, too. If I have a friend, their boyfriend, ex-boyfriend, are off limits forever.

What's your own character flaw you'd most like to fix?

I have a really hard time forgiving people. If someone screws me over I just cut them out and don't recognize them, but I've been trying to work on that. It's hard.

Why do you think someone nominated you to the Lust List?

I think I know who it was. She's like a friend from college and I haven't really spoken to her so I don't know why ... I think she's being really sweet. Unless she had a college crush on me, in which case I need to find out.
