Artists who refuse to relegate their statements to the wall or any one medium and instead incorporate large-scale sculpture, drawing, audio and video into their statements are featured at the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center's current exhibition, Rough Magic and Dark Lullaby. Cindy Loehr and Rachel Lowther create singing pillows and self-sacrificing pelicans that suggest a fairy tale universe where anything can happen. Tapping into more quotidian dramas and tragedies is multimedia artist Cecelia Kane's Hand-to-Hand project, an exhibition of white gloves painted with representations of news stories that have appeared in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution since the beginning of the Iraq War. $3-$5. Tues.-Sat., 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Through Jan. 7. 535 Means St. 404-688-1970. www.thecontemporary.org.
