Manu Chao, La Ventura

When: Sun., Sept. 11, 7 p.m. 2011
Price: $30
Spanish rocker Manu Chao makes world music in the truest sense of the word, but to label it as such would be a crime. The singer/guitarist from Barcelona has spent a lifetime blending elements of alt-rock, ska, punk, reggae, Latin and salsa to spice up a multicultural sound that erupts into a dance party at every performance. Through songs such as "Politik Kills," "Clandestino" and "Me Gustas Tu," his songs are radical in spirit and revolutionary in their ability to bring people together.
