Singer-songwriter and acoustic guitarist Marissa Nadler has an eerily cool and crystalline, sharp voice that lingers in the mind long after the lyrics she sings have melted into air. Imbued with layers of ethereal gothic melancholy and spectral pop luminescence, Nadler’s neo-folk balladry offers a sweet and compelling respite from the prevailing din of rootsy noise. On Thurs., July 10, Duet for Theremin and Lap Steel along with Warning Light, two Atlanta acts known for conjuring up meditative dreamscapes, will also perform. Regular collaborator Robbie Land will be projecting cinematic ambience for the DfT&LS set.
