Meltasia Music Festival

When: Fri., Sept. 5, 2:30 p.m., Sat., Sept. 6, 11 a.m. and Sun., Sept. 7, 11:30 a.m. 2014
Price: $65-$125
Andy Animal hosts this inaugural music festival and camping extravaganza, which offers a superior garage, rock ’n’ roll music lineup featuring Black Lips, Nik Turner’s Hawkwind, Black Oak Arkansas, and many more. Meltasia aspires to be a rowdier counterpart to Animal’s epic birthday celebrations in New York, but will take root in the North Georgia mountains. Festival grounds are located 90 minutes from Atlanta on more than 200 acres of rich grassland, which will provide ample space for multiple stages and moonlit camping. With booze vendors, a swimming hole, and Georgia’s most charming shit-stirrers on site, the weekend is guaranteed to leave you bottomless in some way.
