On Atlanta’s arts funding
Allison Rentz gets awarded the first Idea Capital Artistic Grant. Eighteen people submitted proposals for $500. And that’s considered a big deal. And some very successful artists are going to apply for something like that. It says a lot about what’s going on in Atlanta. People can’t get their shit together to put money together and get the art out there.
