The Atlanta premiere of the film adaptation from Oscar nominee Deepa Mehta of Sir Salman's Rushdie's 1981 highly acclaimed novel, the winner of the Booker Prize and the Booker of Bookers. Two babies are "handcuffed to history" when they are switched at birth on August 15, 1947 as India declares its independence from Great Britain. Panel discussion following with Salman Rushdie, director Deepa Mehta, and producer David Hamilton.
