Monster Bash

June 6, 2013
June 2, 2013 - Maybe it's an Atlanta thing or maybe just a Southern thing all around. Give us a parking lot anywhere, recruit some bands, maybe some wrestling, and beer, and we will come in droves! This past Sunday was no exception for the 11th annual Rock & Roll Monster Bash hosted by Professor Morte at the Starlight Drive-In Theater. This year featured a bevy of horrors, oddities, and strangeness... And that was just the crowd that showed up. This year's lineup included Monstrosity Championship Wrestling, Guinness Book World Record holder The Amazing Captain Stab Tuggo with the equally amazing Maybelle, a tribute to Lady Gaga (of sorts) called Metal Gaga, the family trio Spooky Partridge with 8 year old drumming prodigy Nick Christian, Dracula singing the hits as only he can, a reunion from The Butchers, Baby Baby, and Alice Cooper tribute band Black Juju. Along with ending the evening with classic horror films The Devils Rain and Evil Dead 2. The event, as always, was covered in a crowd of horror costumes, hot rods, hot dogs, tent canopies, adult beverages, heat, rain, pups, classic bicycles, custom motorcycles, artist vendors, and tons of smiles as only the core of the South can do in a parking lot.
