Peruvian demon metal trio Morbid Slaughter follows up on the dark promises of 2014’s “Wicca” 7-inch, with its debut studio album, A Filthy Orgy of Horror and Death (Boris Records). “Cannibal Butcher” sets the scene for a hell ride of blackened thrash-punk petulance. Singer and guitarist Envenom leads the charge conjuring images of violence, sadism, and supernatural sexuality with a serpentine hiss. Bass player Ripping Corpse and guitarist Necrophiliac Sodomizer fill out the whiplash momentum in “Zombie Splatter Axe” and “Torture Without Anesthesia.” “Fuck Off (We Murder)” channels the union-made howl of the Misfits circa Earth A.D., but this is no nostalgia trek.
