Music: Adron

Thurs., June 25

Atlanta native ADRON returns from Brooklyn, N.Y., to show off songs she's written for her forthcoming Burdwurld digital EP. Since leaving Georgia in the summer of 2007, her fairy-tale folk songs and pseudo-Brazilian strumming has only become more captivating in its sparse arrangements and simple, colorful crooning and cooing. Her starry-eyed songs of melancholy and majesty are a bit lonely these days, which only adds depth and richness to her palette of bird calls and playfully surreal lyrics. For this Atlanta Guardian showcase, Adron headlines a night of off-kilter locals, with performances by A Fight to the Death, Lyndsey Appel and Royal Bangs. Free. 9 p.m. Star Bar, 437 Moreland Ave. 404-681-9018.
