Music: Dan Sartain

Fri., May 15

DAN SARTAIN earned his rock 'n' roll chops on the mean streets of Birmingham. Part troubadour and part rockabilly lunatic, the singer and guitarist is well-known for tearing up clubs with a visceral blast of Southern punk croon and kerrang. Experimental punk/pop crew Two Tears also performs. Now based in the city of Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, the group features expat and former Red Aunts guitarist/vocalist Kerry Davis, along with a rotating cast of musicians that crafts raw, murky garage-rock/girl-group numbers. All Night Drug Prowling Wolves and the Liverhearts open the show. $8. 9 p.m. The Earl, 488 Flat Shoals Ave. 404-522-3950. www.badearl.com.
