As two vaunted hip-hop tastemakers, DJ SHADOW and CUT CHEMIST bring established pedigrees to their Mon., JAN. 21, concert at the Loft. In 1996, DJ Shadow issued the instrumental masterpiece Endtroducing. Cut Chemist is a former member of the acclaimed group Jurassic 5, and his instrumental solo single, “Listen,” was used on a widely aired 2006 iPod commercial. Together, they’ll reprise a collaboration that began in 1999 with the Brainfreeze Tour and encompasses a strict playlist of rare grooves issued on 45-inch singles.
