See & Do - Music: Fishbone April 25 2007

Sat., April 28

In the early ’80s, FISHBONE was one of several L.A. bands who pioneered the funk-rock-ska-rap fusion. As the band wandered from label to label, it drew a loyal cult audience, but never grew as popular as one-time rivals the Red Hot Chili Peppers. More than two decades later, Fishbone’s members are elder rock statesmen, appearing in videos for OutKast and Christina Aguilera, and are heroes to black punks everywhere. The group’s tour for its new album, Still Stuck in Your Throat, plows through Atlanta on Sat., APRIL 28. End Rezult and King Rat open. $20-$30. 8 p.m. Club 29, 800 Marietta St. 404-633-4111. www.club29atl.com.
