For this go-around, Atlanta’s current crop of garage rockers, psychedelic-journey and punk hooligans fills out a wild bill of ramped-up tunes. The N.E.C. headlines with deep, dirty, experimental rock grooves. The Electric Cycle and John Barrett’s Bass Drum of Death play rugged garage-rock nostalgia. Knife and the 4th Ward Daggers version 2.0 play simple, damaged bubblegum, punk-rock, beach-party, knife-fight anthems.
