Music: Judi Chicago and Noot d' Noot

Fri., July 3-4

Smith's Olde Bar celebrates America's special day with two solid nights of mega-electro and mega-psychedelic funk music. On Friday, JUDI CHICAGO headlines with a patriotic pastiche of old-school house and pop grind, while NOOT D' NOOT freaks out on a psychedelic trip into Afrobeat, jazz and urban-flavored space rock. On Saturday night, they flip the script and the Noot headlines. Local purveyor of live electronic dance music Black Dominoes Radio opens both nights. $10. Fri.-Sat., 9 p.m. 1578 Piedmont Ave. 404-875-1522.
