MADELEINE PEYROUX's songs evoke an afternoon at the café, easy conversations and flirtatious glances. Her debut album, Half the Perfect World, is claiming fans of cool jazz and smoky blues. On the mostly acoustic record, she collaborates with Leonard Cohen and Steely Dan's Walter Becker, among others, to make music that accents her smoky and subtle vocal delivery.
