Since the early ’80s, Chapel Hill, N.C.’s SOUTHERN CULTURE ON THE SKIDS has been tearing up stages with a rip-roaring show of rockabilly, boogie and surf-rock shtick that’s tempered with punk flair. Give the Cramps a Dixie accent and straw hats and you’re at the right hoedown. SCOTS makes its way back to Georgia for one more round of rockin’ tongue-in-cheek covers from last year’s Yep Roc party opus, Countrypolitan Favorites. Atlanta’s Grinder Nova opens with a sleazy, skeezy, south-of-the-border rock ’n’ roll inferno, complete with horns, shakers and sinful dispositions. $15. 8:30 p.m. The Earl, 488 Flat Shoals Ave. 404-522-3950. www.badearl.com.
