SUPERCLUSTER is a super-group of sorts that rounds up a stable of musicians with pedigrees – such as Olivia Tremor Control, Circulatory System, the Instruments, Deerhunter and more – spearheaded by former Pylon vocalist Vanessa Briscoe Hay. The group's debut album, Waves, is an aptly titled collection of slow, baroque songs that ebb and flow with moods of haunted, rural imagery and melancholy pop, all wrapped in an acid-stained Appalachia. It's a dark, sultry concoction of unconventional reflections that build on an arsenal of strings, layered female voices and experimental luster. Atlanta acts Casper and the Cookies and DQE open the show. $8. 8:30 p.m. The Earl, 488 Flat Shoals Ave. 404-522-3950. www.badearl.com.
