See & Do - Music: Unknown Hinson December 24 2008

Sat., Dec. 27

UNKNOWN HINSON is the self-proclaimed king of country-western troubadours, though some may recognize him as the slurring voice of Early Cuyler from Adult Swim’s “Squidbillies.” Truth be told, he’s an unapologetic redneck, rockabilly vampire who offers a slight twist on the Southern gothic mystique. Mothers, be sure to lock up your daughters on Sat., DEC. 27, when this good ol’ boy of the night comes lurking around your neck of the woods. He’s part Hasil Adkins, part Bela Lugosi and an all around ladies man with an ornery twang and a lust for blood. Burlesque troop Syrens of the South also perform. $15. 9 p.m. The Earl, 488 Flat Shoals Ave. 404-522-3950. www.badearl.com.
