Local music scribe Davy Minor will celebrate his blog's six-year anniversary with the inaugural Ohmpark Fest. The festival, which he says is a "recommendation list from me in concert form," will feature 14 of his favorite acts at both the Earl and 529 on Saturday night. That includes plenty of Atlanta's finest up-and-comers, including Book Club, Hello Ocho, Oryx and Crake, Qurious, and Little Tybee. It will also highlight some of his favorite out-of-town talent, including eclectic Detroit trio Jamaican Queens. Minor's hope is that everyone attending the festival can see at least parts of all the artists' sets — a wise choice considering the lineup boasts plenty of musical talent. View this evening as either a great primer to some of the city’s best new acts or as a rare way for regular concertgoers to see all these artists under two roofs.
