Om, Daniel Higgs

When: Mon., Nov. 26, 9 p.m. 2012
Price: $13-$15
It's true, Om's bass player and vocalist Al Cisneros is the former backbone for almighty stoner rock gods Sleep. But now performing alongside Emil Amos (drums) and guitarist Robert A.A. Lowe (vocals, guitar, percussion), the group mines a darker, spiritually ornate strata of doom-laced drone rock. Their latest offering, Advaitic Songs (Drag City), pushes everything one step deeper into the scorched abyss of their own design, where oceanic rhythms ebb and flow with ominous spectral elegance.
