Out of Africa: The African Origins of Modern Art

A community lecture hosted by the Smoke School of Art and the Auburn Avenue Research Library, and facilitated by conceptual artist and educator Christopher Hutchinson. He will examine the cultural appropriation of the African artist aesthetic by Europeans who formed the avant-garde in the development of modern art.
