Paraplegic Michael Mills climbs Stone Mountain
February 12, 2013
February 9, 2013 - Michael Mills became the first known paraplegic to crawl up Stone Mountain. Foregoing his wheelchair, Mills used his hands and knees to make the ascent. Saturday's crawl was not only the beginning of Spartan training for the athlete, but also a two-fold call to awareness: first, to prove there is no such thing as a disability; and second, to raise money for the charity
Bert's Big Adventure, a nonprofit helping chronic and terminally ill children and their families make a trip to Walt Disney World.
