Housed in the 1919-built original Scottish Rite Children's Hospital, no gallery epitomizes the attendant pleasures of mixing art and vintage architecture like Oakhurst Village's Seen Gallery. On AUG. 27, the gallery celebrates its three-year anniversary and a sleek new makeover, where the Seen's fine artists are presented in a more contemporary, white cube space. The redesign is courtesy of owner and artist Bill Bibb, who is also soon to retire as chief of the CDC's immunology lab in food borne and diarrheal diseases (and thus, can virtually guarantee a contaminant-free cheese tray). Free. 7 p.m.-midnight. 321 W. Hill St., Suite 7-A, Decatur. 404-377-0733. www.theseengallery.com.
