When I grew up I visited the Anne Frank House, and it was so emotional that I kept imagining my family in the same situation. They lived in the smallest space for two-and-a-half years and had to keep totally quiet for fear of being caught by the Nazis. Which would have been the demise of my entire family because there was no way my mother would have kept her mouth quiet for an entire afternoon.
